What licensing with us looks like

Access

A relationship with us opens an extensive network of stock footage and archival libraries, from global players like Getty to niche specialists, and the collections that aren't available to the public. It also means leverage: we license at volume, so we negotiate terms, rights and rates an individual buyer simply can't get on their own. We hold the agreements, know who to call, and handle the licensing end to end, delivering the right media for your brief.

Curation

Anyone can run a search. The skill is knowing which handful of clips, out of the thousands a search throws back, actually belong in the edit. We are editors and art directors who've spent years reading footage the way you do: for tone, for pace, for the way a shot lands against the one before it, for whether the light, the grade and the grain will sit alongside everything else in the cut. What lands in your lightbox is tight and considered. A search finds what's described. We find what's right. That's the job.

Safekeeping

Licenses expire quietly, usually because no one remembers they exist. They were cleared by someone who's long since moved on, with no paper trail left behind. By the time it surfaces, it can bring a whole host of problems — litigation, penalties, lost trust with your client. That's the gap we close: we hold the license, keep it live and legal, and give you the heads-up before it expires. Your admin nightmare is exactly what we're here for.

Standalone services

Two ways to start

Viability Scout

Before your client or creative director falls for a concept built on footage that might not exist, or might not be clearable, we go and check. We confirm what's actually out there, flag anything that'll be a rights or clearance headache down the line, and sense-check the idea against what's already live (both the specific shots and the wider concept), so you're not about to unknowingly echo another campaign. So the idea you're building on is solid from the start.

Forensic Audit

From a single-shot campaign to a full brand's back catalogue — sometimes you just need to know you're covered. Maybe a client's been burned in the past, maybe there's no paper trail on past campaigns and nobody's quite sure what was cleared for what. We go back through the work, find out exactly what's licensed, for which territories, media and term — and tell you where you stand. Where something's lapsed, we can often clear it retroactively. You'll know precisely what's cleared, what's exposed, and what to do about it. No more guessing.

Agency Partnerships

Everything above, on every project, always on. We become your licensing department — sourcing and researching every brief, curating the shots that actually fit, and handling the rights end to end, so your team never touches a licensing portal again. The more you put through us, the better it gets: volume means stronger buying power and better terms across everything you license, and working with you campaign after campaign means we already know your brands, your clients, and what gets signed off. A Viability Scout on every concept so nothing's built on shaky ground. A Forensic Audit to open the relationship — we find out exactly what you've already got and put it right — then we keep it that way. One team, one point of contact, the whole licensing operation off your plate.
